What can you do with the New Build a Blossom PUNCH??

Hi Stampers:

We'll it has come to an end of my days off for me.  Back to the grind tomorrow.  I thought I'd post a couple of cards for your viewing as it may be a few day again before the next.  Remember Stampers - there is only a little time left before Sale - a - bration is over, March 31st last day for you to earn FREE STAMPS sets.  You  know the Build a blossom punch and the Build a blossom stamp set is also only available until April 30th.  That's the end of this mini and the Summer Mini will be out the 1st of MAY!  SO think hard and fast if you want anything.

I will post a couple of cards I've completed using the Blossom Petal Punch, and honestly, it's well worth it.  You can decorate you craft projects with so many kinds of flowers, in so many different ways, you won't know what to start with.  Best thing about punches are, you never run out of them, you just keeping making more flowers.

I am still working on my Daughters wedding invites.  She has decided she would like something more fall looking, and very simple.  Here's my next idea for her.  Maybe this will make the pick!!

Until later Stampers, keep stampin!!!

This is simply made using the Blossom Petals Punch and Stampin' Up! paper.  Sponged a little ink around the tops of the petals and walla!!

And here's another using different parts of the punch.  When you use different parts or petals of the punch of course you will get a different looking flower.  I'm very impressed how easily this works and how substantial the flowers are.

Here's the last one for your viewing.  Now all these cards are from a class I ordered, and perhaps it may be one you are all interested in.  We have April and May booked - but June is wide open.  If there is enough interest in these cards, there is another one and a matching purse you haven't seen, we could do it as a class in JUNE!!!  Leave your answer in the comments, or e-mail me and let me know.

OK - now for the next trail Wedding invite:  Here you go Chrystal, what do you think???

I think I'm really liking it, - CLEAN - SIMPLE  -  ELEGANT - AND FALLISH !!!!

Yes! It is a new entery!

Hi Stampers,

I know, it's actually a month since I've been able to get anything posted.  I had to finish my year ends first and finally I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I have had a couple of classes in between  this and the last posting, but not been able to update the blog.  I have a couple of entries for you today.

My daughter is getting married this year!  Yes, August 20th, here in our back yard.  Guess she's following in her Mother's foot steps.  OK, well I doubt that, but the big event , OK well small event is happening here on the farm.  So first things first, we needed to have an invite.  Of course she barley got it out of her mouth when I said " would you like me to make the wedding invitations for you? ".   Now, since things are going to be very casual, family barbecue after, I didn't want to get to crazy with the invite.  I am happy with it, hopefully she is as I am posting it on the blog.

Here is the front of the card.  They'll be a few changes, like the you're invited.  It was the only one I had, and I think I would like another with out the ! at the end.  I embossed the back ground with white embossing powder and the Elements of Style stamp set.  This is such a versatile set and really fun to use.

You will see in the next photo that I used a piece of vellum from SU and printed the itinerary for the day on it.  But although it is hard to see I put another stamp underneath the Vellum which is  from the Hostess Set : Northern Hearts.  It is only meant to peek through the vellum.

vellum insert also, guess I have spelled Dennis name wrong!  Whoops !!

This is just a quick view of the front of the card.  Even though the butter fly is popped up, it can easily be mailed and will pop up again after the card is opened.

As some of you know I've been playing with a new medium called : Copic Markers.  I have a photo of a card I just did this morning which I'm quite happy with.  Copics are a alcohol based marker and different than the Stampi' Up! markers we are used to.  I'm always wanting to try new things, but I must say I do love these.  They blend wonderfully, and as I get better I will post some more.  Practice, practice is what I am told.  Now, who doesn't mind that when its what you love to DO!

Well that's it for now Stampers.  I will try not to wait a month before the next posting - promise.

Something for HIM !!

Hi Stampers:

Thought I would post a little something for the man in our life.  We often make lovely cards, but they are not always appropriate for that special man, or perhaps there's someones birthday coming up, and you need a more masculine card.  Well I have just the thing.  As I said I've been taking a class with Ilina Crouse, a birthday class where we will make a variety of birthday cards and 3 D items.  Today was a masculine class and below are a couple of items we made.  Now this is a good point.  Many times I may not have the same stamp set the class is using, so I have to improvise.  YES!!  It's true, I don't have everything, still wishing though.  In this class I did not have most of the stamps, so I used a retired set.  It actually worked well for me as one of these cards is for my Father In-laws upcoming birthday.  He loves the outdoors and being back in the woods, so this stamp set - all though retired is called - Backwoods and it was perfect.  Let me show you!  Tell me what you think.  The cards are very simplistic and only require some layering:

Here is a view on the left of the set.  One is the box that could easily hole 6 cards and envelopes and the right is a Happy Birthday card.
Now I will say my photography is a little or may need a lot of work.  Haven't got that part down yet.  I would give more details but I'm not even sure if we're allowed to post these on our blog yet while the class is still going.  But if you really like them I certainly can give detailed information at our next class, or you can go to Ilina's blog and check out her information.  Again I think if you type in Ilina Crouse on goggle,  her web site will come up.

Here are a couple more cards I CASED yesterday using one of the NEW Stamps sets from SALE-A-Bration, which of course you can earn " FREE " with every $ 60.00 order!!

This drives me crazy, I can' seem to figure out how to get these photo's in a line.

This stamp set is from the Punch Bunch.
All the stamps coordinate with the punches.  But you don't have to have the punches, you could just cut them out by hand.  It is very simple and really cute!

Feb 9th - It's been SO LONG!!

Hi Stampers,

I have decided I'm not even going to apologize, I know, I am terrible at keeping things updated and I apologize every time.  I'm just terrible at this part of things.  But I do have some FUN card ideas to show you.

Have you ever heard of the word CASE.  I imagine you have but perhaps not in the way I am going to use it.  In the stamping world the word case means:  copy and share everything - the photos below are a CASE from a fellow demonstrator who I follow daily.  I love her site, she has wonderful, simple, yet beautiful ideas.  SHE keeps her site updated DAILY, unlike some of us! ( ME  ) Her Name is :  Chat M. Wszelaki her web site is Me, My Stamps and I.  I think if you go on goggle and type in her name or web site you will find her.  When you do, bookmark that site, you will want to visit it daily.  If I new how to send you directly to her site I would, but I'm not THAT talented.

Hay Stampers, how do you like the Garden Nome!  He is from a Punch class I purchased and had a blast putting him together.  This class is available for anyone to purchase from Jackie Topa I believe is how you spell her name.  He's so cute and everything is made from ONE punch, or cut by hand.  The punch is from the new Occasions Mini and it's called Build a Blossom punch on page 12 of the mini.  That's all you need is that punch and paper.  To easy, but you'd better make this card sitting down, it's so much FUN you might fall over.

So here are a coupe of cards I CASED,  I needed to have on hand a couple of " Welcome New Baby" cards.  These were so easy and really fun to make.  Again go to Chat's site and check her out!

Baby boy & Girl " Welcome Cards"
This one was one of my own creations.  Isn't the NEW ribbon awesome.  Again in the new mini, pg 35 - PomPom Trim

This just gives you a little closer idea of the butterfly
This whole set uses the technique called " Masking ", it is one of the technique that we are going to be learning over the next couple of months.

We will be learning a NEW technique every month in our card classes.
